Would you be re-building one (or able to repair one yourself) or needing one with a warranty?

What kind of motor are you looking for? LS1 or something better?
Scroggin Dickey, TSP, LME are all good places to start looking.

I guess Im probly talking about a crate engine already built. Maybe another ls1 but it sure would be nice to have another lsx "something". Ls2,6,7, idk yet the time hasnt come lol. Im just looking into options right now. I dont really see sponsors on here trying to sell engines like they do transmissions. So far it looks like gm would be the place? Yea and Scroggin Dickey. Ill check all those places out thanks guys.

Sometime back GMHTP magazine did a crate motor review for Fbodies. It might be on their website.

I like to think ahead about that too, since I plan to keep the car for the rest of my driving days. I debate rebuilding so as to keep the original s/n....or getting a 427 :-)

Curious about the numbers in your sig. LTs & tune and only 326 rwhp? Should be about 20 more no?

LOL well the car was tuned on a mustang dyno which typically reads lower than a dynojet. But on a different dyno with the same mods, minus the stall, car put down 337hp and 343tq. IDK if any hp loss is typically shown from a locked aftermarket stall or not so maybe that could have something to do with it reading so much lower? Im not sure.

Yes a 427 would be pretty sweet
