Default Need some advice

Ok so Im looking to purchase my first sports car and I have always been a fan of the ls1 but im really looking for a low mileage car for around 13,000. So my question is what cars can I afford with low mileage that are close to the performance of a ls1?

You can afford a good LS1 for that price fairly easy, just be patient and wait for the right one to come along with all of the amenities your looking for. I bought my 1998 Firebird Formula with 64k miles and 6-speed for only 8,000. But i looked for almost a year for the right one

Thanks I've been looking for months and im trying to get a car with less than 40 k its got to last. I really love the ls1 trans am but the lt1 corvette also grabs my attention. So how does a lt1 vette stack up against an ls1 fbody?

A car with more than 40k could last just as long as one with less.

A lt1 vette? Seriously?

I bought my '02 Z28 with 19k miles for 10,500. That low enough for you? Just keep your eyes peeled and you'll find a deal.

You can find a low mileage ls1 f-body for that much. I would keep looking.

I wouldn't run optispark on my lawnmower and can't stand the looks/interior of a c4 corvette.

Spending $13k on a lt1 car is pissing away money.

If you want a vette, get a 97 and up ... There's some cheap C5's out there these days. If I could go back I think I might have bought one instead of my WS6, not sure though... woulda made it difficult in college without the back seat.

Smile

for what you have to spend you can probably find a clean ls1 fbody with some money left to mod.
