2002 lt1 ???

So.. I am looking into getting my 1st Camaro, and i run across this ad

Title listing is "2002 Camaro Z-28"
" hard to find LT-1 Z-28 v8 6speed transmision,power top,power windows,power locks,custom wheels, 82k miles....please call or text " with a phone number behind it...

Am i just wrong? I thought all 98-02 Camaros came with an LS1 or is this guy just a dumbA$$? It has the "bubble" headlights not the lt1 headlights

Either the ad is wrong or he really swapped a LT1 in it...why he would do that who knows.

probably i misprint. i had a local guy that said he had a 95 with an LS1. i went to look at it & as soon as i popped the hood, LT1.
it's crazy how much people don't know about their own stuff.

I have seen the "LT1" called out as the trim package on vehicles as well, has nothing to do with the engine designation. Maybe somewhere along the line it was changed from "LT" to "LT1".

The seller is right about one thing. It is tough to find an LT1 in an '02.

He either did a swap or its just wrong. I see this all the time when I look at dealer ads for camaros. The guy at the junkyard (in his 70s) even refers to 98-02 camaros as having lt1 motors. Iv told him a few times over 6 years its not lt1 its ls1 but still to this day he thinks its a lt1 lol. I give up!
