I did something along the lines. I bought a 74,000 mile 94 buick lesabre for a DD. rides awesome and I have yet to get less than 25 mpgs mixed driving. I would have bought a cheaper, high mileage version, but this one was so mint I could not pass it up for the price. I guess now I have to drive around at WOT to make it cool tho.

Like I said before, can a M6 LS1 get 30 MPG? yes, but the driver has to make a effort to get it and not drive the car "normally". And by normal I mean if I handed you the keys to the car and told you to drive it you wouldn't shift at 1500, probable 2500-3500 RPM. Where as with the import you can drive however you want and still get 30+ where as with a F body 30 is not a realistic number unless you try and do mostly highway

I can go 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th. sometimes I go 1,2,4,6.

driving around having fun I get about 18 city (which for me is all 40mph roads with very few lights and stop signs) and the little highway driving I do I get about 27
this is having fun, a few WOT pulls here and there, fun shifting etc. with full bolt ons in a 6 speed with a 3.23 rear gear

I few nights ago I drove for 4 hours in my m6 w/ full bolt-ons. 2 hours highway and 2 hours city and I averaged 23.2 mpg's. I was very happy with that. That 6th gear is awesome haha

I get 28 mpg on the highway with my A4 and 2.73 gears. I have a 30 mile commute each way, and it's right at about 50/50 highway/city driving, and I normally get 21-22mpg per tank with that kind of driving. Usually get 310-340 miles before my check gauges light comes on. Oh, on the highway, I do 70 with my cruise turned on.

My '98 bone stock m6 averaged a best of ~34 mpg, using 12.9 gal. in 441 miles. I about **** myself when i filled up, and wrote this down. 310 miles were highway between iowa and michigan on i-80, with the cruise set at 80 for most of the trip. The other 131 miles wre a combination of city and highway driving commuting to and from work. I drove it like a grandpa (shifting around 2k most of the time) but I am wondering if I have a factory freak?
