Default Next Mod?

So my car has the mods in my sig, still stock rear with 3.42. Right now its like riding a 10 speed in 10th gear all the time. I am trying to decide my next mod. Cam peaks at 6800 rpm or so. It is still on stock springs, shocks. It will be in need of tires soon also, still on stock 16" rims. This car is driven 99% on the street. I most likely will go with option 1 but want some opinions. All options are around $3000 or less

option 1: lower it and new shocks, new 17 or 18" rims

option 2: 12 bolt with 410 or 430 gears

option 3: get some 15" rims with drag radials and skinnies for the front

Nice set up so far! Put that power to the ground and do a lowering kit with new shocks, and some LCA relocation brackets I just did my lowering kit and I can tell you that I waited too long!

I am considering some OE wheels but really want something different than what they offer. I am not looking to spend a fortune for wheels.

I like the AZA forged Icons but I believe they are 600 a piece.

I also like the BS street lites. More in my price range.

If you are keeping it 99% street car, I say stick with the 10 bolt, but definitely get some gears for it. 3.90 or 4.10 would be my vote, then get to some suspension, though wheels aren't a bad choice either.

I'm no help.

The thing is, I would hate to put gears in it, then they break. I think eventually, 5 years down the road, I will take to the track more. I just would like to do it right the first time and have a strong rear.

Yeah they dont look bad i would still go with option 1 as long as you plan on catching up with the rear end later

I definetly want the rear, but it works fine now. the car being its a Z28, 16" rims, 6" wheel gap, really looks like crap. Rims and a lower would make it look alot better.

I would do option 2 . Looks can always come later and slicks and skinnies won't help if u don't have parts that will take it. Plus its always nice to know that your weakest link in the car (the rearend) is now what it should be when it come from the factory lol. Then get some slicks later when u want to race it and your in the door.
