I like the LM2 better. Not as obnoxious.

Ya I think im going to go with the LM2 because I like the aggresive sound it has to it altho I do like the loudness of the LM1.

Buy the LM2, and if you don't like it I'll trade you my LM1...

I have heard both 1 and 2 in person from 2 different cars (both had headers)... both sound horrible IMO. I would never get either system. The LM1 sounded ok on my friends car with the stock manifolds though... so if u plan to keep it stock LM1 could be ok.

Its five times louder with the off road y pipe. If you add cats there isnt any rasp, just alittle drone. Mine really isnt that loud.

With that being said, they sound great post some exhaust vids
Yeah, I find the videos to be just about useless when trying to get an idea of the sound of an exhaust. There are too many variables : camera volume, monitor volume, camera quality, skill of the operator, wind noise, background noise, how far the camera is from the car, etc...

Unless you changed (or your talking about a different 02 Z28) it you didn't have a Loudmouth on it. It doesn't appear to have had headers on it either.

The only difference between the lm1 and lm2 is the resonator. While the lm2 has restrictive baffles the lm1 is a straight pipe. That's why the lm1 is a little bit louder. I got the lm1 on my car with lts and a catted y..sounds amazing

I'm changing my LM1 to the LM2. I have gotten so many good comments on the 1 though. It's just too loud for me. Raspy so I thought I'd try the LM2. Comes in tomorrow so I'll put it on Saturday and post a video.
Here is a vid of LM1 now...

LM2 is perfect, you avoid the raspy obnoxiousness of the LM1. I have a American Racing Headers, and in about 3 hours i can tell you what it sounds like with a Cam .

Only problem i have is that i lowered my car 3.5 inches, and if i have a passenger that weighs more than my tiny girlfriend i have to watch the road carefully for dips and bumps.
