Default My 02 Z06 build

My 02 Z06 is currently under the knife at New Era Performance. Its getting a cam swap, LS7 clutch/flywheel, RPM level 4 Transmission, brakes/rotors, American Racing headers, CAI, and hurst shifter.

New Era Performance hasnt ever let me down and theyre a top notch crew. I knew when I dropped it off, it was in good hands, would be well taken care of and most importantly, done right.

Here are some pictures so far. I'll keep updating the thread as more progress is made.

Dropped it off Thursday morning

Some of the parts

Beginning to tear the motor down

Mine was that far apart only about a month ago. Amazing how much carbon
is on the pistons, mine were almost as much as yours w/just under 16,000mi.
That whip should trap well over 120 when done...bet ya can't wait ????

I have a 05 Trailblazer. I'm selling it soon though... Since I hate it. I'm prob. going to get a 5.3L Tahoe or Silverado.

Truck would be nice, and trailer the vet to the track.

There was a bent valve. Instead of just fixing the one, I decided to make the most out of the situation and have them port the heads and do a valve job.

Will be more fun for sure once you get it back. I agree...probably in the neighborhood of 440-450RWHP and 120+ traps easy. I think I'm around 450 and I trapped 122 at a 2100 DA but a slightly larger cam and probably better flowing heads. I see you upgraded the trans but what about the diff?
