trying to get an idea
is it quicker to do a cam change on late model gto or camaro 2008 up
by dropping the engine out the bottom
or doing it the old way through the front
i have never done it the engine out the bottom way just woundering
do you have to take the rad and front bar off if you drop the engine
cheers

You have to drop the k-member to get the motor out of the bottom of an f-body. Just remove the radiator and condensor and you'll have plenty of room motor in the car.... The motors are so far back in these cars and this is like the only time it makes working on one simpler lol....

yes well that is the way i have been doing it but another shop i know always drops them out the bottom ??
i was wondering if it was quicker time wise $$ to drop out the bottom
but the car would really need a wheel alignment after it went back in and an A/C recharge
so the cost would be more to do the cam taking the engine out the bottom
taking the cam out the front there is no need to remove the ac condenser just undo 1 power steer cooler line and the ac condenser drops out the bottom just have to Tye it up so it doesn't hang on the gas lines (on our cars anyway )
