OP I'm sorry for what happened to your beloved car. You are ok that's most important and just learn from your mistake. Good luck with the car.

Look, everything gonna be ok for u and the car.. just find a way to take care of the tickets, u got a long time to pay those off, plead not guilty and that should buy u some time to get money to pay em off, pay ur deductibles, get in writing what ur insurance will pay for, and pay the rest then worry about the tickets.

This is a big reason why i dont do burnouts in my car when not in a track
1) I can't afford it (tires and gas)
2) Too much wear and tear
3) Cops are sneaky here
4) Don't want to injure myself or anyone else

Anyways OP don't sweat it, ur gonna be fine

Not trying to start anything here, but you say you can't afford it? And you have a few thousand dollars in mods done to your car?

Sorry to see this happen to you man. Were you in your school parking lot area or something?
I cannot see this, NOT being totaled. I had an 01, that had almost the same damage and it was totaled out. My airbags didnt deploy either. Fucked up thing, is that I wasnt messing around either. DR's in first years rain
Either way, good luck.

I meant along the lines of a few combined factors

1) tires (DR's) $400 for a rear set that only last up to 15k miles without any burnouts
Edit: No sense in replacing a perfectly good set every 2 months cuz i like to do smokey burnouts everday, know what i mean?

2) gas, still about $3.70 a gallon (premium) and i spend $40 every 3 days
Edit: My needle noticeably drops when I did my burnouts

3) rear end or drivetrain might break
Edit: Rebuilding a transmission or rear-end is always fun for my wallet

4) might crash into someone or something
Edit: Who knows how much that'll cost in the end? This is the biggest reason why I don't choose to do them away from the track, money can replace anything and everything but somebody's life, including my own, know what I mean?

and yeah i spent a pretty penny on labor + parts, but I'd like to protect my investment as best I can so I can buy more

And to follow up on your airport Idea, I'm willing to do something like that

Hey, sometimes s**t happens. The more you fool around in the car, the faster you drive etc you increase the odds of something going wrong. Could have been a lot worse. Most of us have skirted this sort of thing by the skin of our teeth (I know I have!). Glad you're ok, no one else was involved etc, 'nuff said.

With another chassis.

Lesson learned here is showing off will get you some attention and make a really great show when you **** up.

See if it was just a burnout then that kinda is an everyday thing and no one would give a ****.

Now you are the guy that everyone will be going "hey did you see that Camaro take out that pole?!?!"

Hope you learned the lesson..

That's the point though. Just because you have a car that can do fast things doesn't mean you should just flaunt it whenever you feel like it. That'd be like me whipping out my Beretta M9 in public and shooting stuff up "just because I gots it." With power comes responsibility. Without that we'd have fast cars smashing up all over the place.

And/or a lot of shot up stuff.

Live and learn 'OP, I hope you can fix your car and you don't get sued or anything...

Doesn't look fixable to be without some MAJOR surgery, Burnouts and curved roads = BAD NEWS. GL with it.

I've owned a few high powered cars,(not F-bodys) but my Trans Am is by far the wiliest and most unpredictable car I've had yet. I grew up in the north. I love driving on ice and snow. I've rally raced, dirt tracked, drag raced and drifted long before it was called drifting. Suffice to say I have mad skills behind the wheel, and I feel like this car is out to kill me. When the homicidal A4 decides to slam second gear there's no telling which way or how hard the car's going to go. On one 1-2 shift it'll be straight as an arrow burning 'em down as nice as you please and the next time the car has me full lock sideways pedaling the gas and clawing at the steering wheel trying to gather it back up.

It's very very easy to wreck one of these cars.

You are very lucky. The cops down here where I am at in FL use that at as a guaranteed trip to jail and a car impound. So many people were streetracing and acting stupid in public that they decided to go with a zero tolerance policy.

yeah im going to say op your pretty young, they call it young and dumb for a reason lol, honest i agree i dont see how they are going to fix that , seems like there is enough damage to be close to what bluebook would be.if i did a burnout every time someone asked me to i would do 3 every time i took the car out.i even had 2 young kids in a new eclipse say to me yesterday at a stop light , lets see what you got, i looked over and said im good buddy, you have to kind of learn to know where is safe to play, and that its not worth it to race every freaking car on the road just to show your car is faster etc. just be happy you have a nice car thats alot of fun, i hope you get what im trying to say, just thank God that your ok and no one that was with you was hurt or killed,a car is just a car,its not worth a life
