My car weighed 3430 stock. Ht car and no tc. I made my own catback -26, !jack/spare -35+/-, clutch/udp -40, tranny cm -5, lightend my own k-memeber/pedestals -29, carbon hood -21, !airbags/bracket under dash -30, lightened rear bumber sup -10, hood hinges -3.5, front bumper/ other supporting brackets -15, coil pack brackets -1, sounddeadening -10, wheels/tires -35, aluminum lca's/ph bar -8, baer eradispeeds -6. And all the egr/air pump crap. I have also lightened a bunch of other parts and returned them to the car. Everything is still nice and tight with out crap flopping around. If you were to look at the car most would'nt even notice.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...y-updated.html
I used that for reference, and i did say "ABOUT" as in: +/-
Lets double check this:
according to the sticky, link #2
stock catback = 50lbs: check
removal of cats = 15lbs: check
egr removal = 10lbs off by about 5lbs, link #1 says 11lbs
glove box = 2lbs off by 1/2 a lb, link#2 says 2.5lbs so0o: check
rear seat removal (leather) = 28lbs off by 8, however he doesnt have leather, link#2 says 19lbs off by 1lb
spare tire = 37lbs off by 2lbs, link #2 says 35lbs: check
sun visors = 2lbs: check
washer fluid pump/resevoir/fluid = 12 lbs added up: check
ash tray/cubby hole pad/ and lighter = ash tray and lighter = 1lb, 1/2 cubby hole pad not listed, so i guessed 1/2 a lb: again, check
so, with that being said, I think the consensus is I am not WAY off. I will say this, I wrote that originally by memory, not to shabby when writing that up on the fly, and since I was too lazy to look up the EXACT weight of each item, I included the vocabulary word "about" at the end of each claim to protect myself from criticism and having to reply some sort of disclaimer.
If you have a problem with my weights being off, sound off on the sticky, not to to me, thats why they are there. I don't have a scale I can use so I refer to the stickys since that is their purpose.

yeah in the end it doesn't really matter if it was just the manual,
however once you start adding up, and adding up.. and adding up .. soon 1 lbs, turns into 100lbs. So it all adds up in the end
in all practicality, all that stuff I listed above is the most DD worthy weight reduction without sacrificing luxuries such as A/C, stereo, air bags, power steering, carpet, trim panels, ect
btw OP you might want to look into lexan glass, i think the entire piece weight like 15 lbs or something silly like that and you can't even tell it isnt glass
or removing your fog lights, i seen some people re-route those to vent the brakes

OP if ur willing to spend some money,
some lighter weight parts include a highflow lid (if u haven't done so already), i think the mti clear lid was the lightest?
chromoly suspension parts
underdrive pulley and belt
lowering springs, although i think urs is already lowered
dry cell battery
carbon fiber driveshaft
electric water pump
light weight racing seats

I'll give you guys something to shoot for on a dd with all ammenities. I'm at 3050lbs (with drag type wheels) my 18's only weight about 20lbs more. The only thing taht is a little iffy I've done is remove the airbags. Both will total @ 25-30 lbs. Still has all sounddeadening except for about 10lbs. Still has all interior, ac, cruise, abs, pb, ps, stereo, windsheild washer and even bumper supports.

Even with the TTIIs compared to like fire hawks they only weigh a total of like 100 lbs and 3 amps + a 10 inch sub shouldn't be adding A LOT more, although I know it adds a bit. Why is my birdie so heavy?!

I guess I'll have to look into some lighter wheels then haha.
I've been thinking about the k member but I've heard the tubular ones don't like to stand up to daily driver abuse as well as track beatings?

Daily driver, nothing is removed except spare and jack. Been there done that. So much nicer with a true full weight car.
Daily driver, remove things and replace them with pieces that weigh less... suspension, rims, etc..

I'll take that as it does stand up to the abuse?
Yeah, I hear that. Nice with all the stuff still in it haha but I can sacrifice some stuff for weight, slowly getting new parts for it though to drop it even more

yep thats it!

Had to for the nitrous bottle! Weight came out of the spare area, then went right back in!

The Spohn tubular one can handle daily duty, track and auto x and that's not including the chromoly one which is stronger.

Mine is still my DD and I don't have A/C or Power steering anymore... haha doesn't really bother me. Get's pretty hot in AR in the summer sometimes though. I just have to replace my driver's window motor more than the average guy it seems, haha.
