He has the engine out of it right now IIRC.. I'm sure he will have a setup to compete with by then though.

I don't understand these guys... Is the 5.3 the key or what? Is there anyone pushing an LS1 that hard? Kinda makes me want to hold off on a forged motor...

Its in the tune.

5.3s are cheap.. Ls1s are expensive.. lq9/4s are in the middle but add weight.

More cubes isn't really necessary with FI, no reason to spend the money.

If you can get a bad *** tune on it, it will last.

When I start spraying I'm replacing rod bolts, hitting it with a 200 hit and spinning it to 6800 RPMs. Nice tune and don't expect it to pop for a good while.

I never got the full details.. I guess he would have the stock cube record. Either way, it runs hard for a 346. I just remember they did actually put him on the list for a while, whether he still holds it or not I'm not sure.

What is the current record and what are you guys running?
Also, I got those ARP wheels studs for 64$ shipped! Thanks for the heads up.
Yea, we tossed the idea of a destroked LS7 or similar around for a while to bust some skulls in that "stock cube" class for a while, but never committed. Ours ran 9.65 this weekend at the LSx ShootOut, but gained something like 10mph over the old combo. Shows we're making much better power now, but the 60' was only 1.4x. So we lost .2 on the 60' alone which killed us. We're getting a new looser converter rushed in and we're going to go race again in a couple weeks. Looking for some new records

Glad you found the studs and got a deal!
