Track Car Build

There's a track car build to consider called a Scratch:
The Scratch uses an aftermarket C3 Corvette frame. Then a roll cage is added to replace the subframe that would ordinarily mount the windshield and swing the doors. Also, floorpan and firewalls must be fabricated for the roll cage (but that's just aluminum sheet metal work).
Obviously any bodywork offered for a C3 Corvette could go on the car but new bodywork is expected. For instance round the nose and reduce tail taper of the C3 bodywork and other ideas or plans.
The engine is any factory crate V8 designed to work with a carburetor. Of course an engine that includes a distributor can still be electronic ignition and avoid mechancial points.
When comparing the Scratch to other track build cars keep in mind that the Scratch has a 98" wheelbase, an independent rear suspension, and a 2600 pound weight.
