loud ticking

pull your valve covers and check your valve springs....although if it were anything top end related you would notice a change in power.

So today I tightened all the header bolts and I also had to replace the master and slave clutch cyc because the clutch was sticking lol

Broke a rocker arm once and it sounded like a ticking sound coming from the engine bay but also could be heard through the exhaust,car had a little over 40,000 miles when it happened.Good luck finding the gremlin!

Well it ended up being an exhaust leak and the header gasket needs to be replaced. Thanks for all the help.
