Default Need advice please

I am seriously looking at a LQ4 for my project (plan to buy in the next week or so) and had a few questions for you guys.

- how would i route the serpentine belt if i remove the power steering pump? i am not going to have power steering

- I think the motor i am looking at has drive by wire, can i switch that to cable and if so which TB should i try to get ? (i am leaving the motor stock - for now)

- any wiring schematics out there for this motor or any "affordable" recommendations on having the harness done?

- what trans should i get for this 4l60e or 4l80e? i hear the 4l80 is stronger?

I am pretty new at this, trying to get up to speed as quick as i can. Thanks in advance for any advice you can muster.

Search "short belt" on here for belt routing after deleting power steering.
The 4l80e is definitely a stronger transmission but a 4l60e can handle quite a bit if built properly. How much power are you planning on making and how heavy will the car be?

Motor is going to be stock with maybe a set of headers. it is going in an old skool 66 chevy van. Not looking for tons of performance, just driveability and good v8 sound - I am thinking 300hp should be plenty. But I want components to hold up which is why i was thinking of the 4l80 trans.

Thoughts?

Default fuel line?

well I picked up my motor today, and it looks like they cut the fuel line going to the main injector rail. What do you guys generally do to replace this line - is there a part number or source you guys can point me to?

i have a attached a pic of the braided line I am talking about
