I use both a k&n and a paper filter. I use the paper filter when I'm cleaning the K&n which usually takes me a few days because I clean it, let it dry, oil it, let it soak in and by the time I do all that 3 days have gone by. In the meantime I just use the paper filter with absolutely no hit to performance. Wonder why I even bother.
