Default Performance mod or not?

Do you consider mods such as k&n filters, skip shift delete, smooth bellows, poly mm's to be considered "performance mods"? After being on here while I noticed alot of people talking about filters and such as a performance mod and I never really looked at them that way. Just wondering

Do they improve performance?

I would call them performance mods.

I dont think a k&n filter improves performance over the stocker. I could be wrong though..

There Mods. But dont consider them performance. If I am asking a guy I am about to run what he has done to it I dont care about a K&N filter and motor mounts, I want to know H/C/I power adders and crap like that.

I think mod list are exactly what they are MOD LIST...I have stuff listed that might not give performance gains, but if I have problems with my set up, instead of listing everything, people can look at my MOD LIST... If i'm talking to someone I don't tell them all the bullcrap unless they ask about that specificly...Hell suspension doesn't add any hp but it definatly makes a difference.FWIW...

i wouldnt cal them performance mods. but they are mods that belong on a list. i would consider a k&n is more of a performance mod then skip shift.

Performance mods to me is stuff like Catbacks, Headers, Cams, Heads, Struts, Springs, Shocks, those are things that actually make a difference in how the car performs. Smooth Bellow, EGR delete, AIR delete, Motor mounts, I group that stuff into the "accessories" category, doesn't really do too much in regards to performance.

The little mods eventually add up but no, you don't get huge gains all at once. They're fun to do either way.

the little modd add up. and help the bigger modds, it all works together

if some ones asks me what my car has, i say Head/cam/intake+150shot, but there are so many little things i've also done to support the bigger modds, ram air, 85mm maf, knock sensor modd,90mm tb,full exhaust, full fuel system, suspension, sfc's.stronger clutch, drill modd, and so on and so on, all together they make a one big change

To a point. I honestly dont think the filter is going to do a thing vs the stock one.

To me anything that didnt come on your car from the factory is a mod, even the little things add up.

Most of the time that is what guys with nothing major done add in to have a mod list. They are modifications, but I personally would just leave them out. If I ask someone what they have done, I don't want to hear smooth bellows, free mods, and things of that nature.

I guess haha. Smooth bellows prob make just as much difference as taking your shoes off before a race.
