motor just shut off

Default motor just shut off



I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado with the supercharged 5.3 ls motor. just got it out of the shop as droped a cylinder the guy tyells me. Now i not in any way smart on any of this stuff i just new i tore the truck up. 3,000.00 bucks for the rebuild and 3 weeks later. the next day from getting it back im driving and the motor just stoped (about 15 miles of driving) no brakes no power steering nothing only doing 60mph if that i was under 2,500rpm about 15 mins went buy it cranked back up got it home parked it over nite the next day it did the same exact thing at about the excat milage they guy who did my motor is avoiding me now. if any of you guys can point me in the right direction i would greatly appericate it

Sounds like it could be the wires to the crank sensor touching exhaust or headers and shorting out.

yea dude, check all your wiring. my firebird would do like that, and i put a crank sensor on it, still did it, put a few new coils on it, still the same thing. then went to take my ign module in to the parts store to check it and found a wire was frayed and was overheating. you don't have any warning lights on do you?

just my o2 sensor and speed sensor replacing the now and then going to drive it but i kinda wanted to know a little more thanks for the inputs guys
