i would get the grand sport, that way everything you to do it will be your own personal touch. it wouldn't be done up by someone else like the Z is, and you don't know the abuse that the Z has been through. Also, since you're planning to do a turbo build, it sounds like the motor might be coming out anyways to have forged internals put in and a fresh sleight would allow you to know everything that is done, and not leave you in the dark with any weak points that might occur on a used car.

i initially said grandsport because i thought you were buying the Z already modded but since your buying it in stock or stockish form and going from there ill change my vote to Z06

i would call around to the KNOWN speed shops and see what they ofer for packages and the cost there in for either vehicle. pick the one that you like the interior best as thats what you will see the most of..but a lLOT of the cost will come from purchasing parts or package deals and then the install and tuning... just an idea as there are a **** ton of aftermarket packages out there for the cars you mentioned... and since cost is a factor then its DEFINATELY worth looking into.. JMO
