Default need a lil help

Long story short , I am building a 408 for a 1998 camaro that has been sittin n a garage since 2000 without a motor so... i want to know if i can install the motor from the top assembled...this is my 1st rodeo and have only seen pics of people installing from the bottom so i'm just not sure if it is possible with the average "joe" tools and possible without a lift from the bottom.......

i install them from the top time to time. just depends on if something is on the lift or not. if you have the tranny out; leaving the flywheel or flex plate off gives you more room. i also leave the intake and accessories off.
