Default A picture is worth....

200,000 words?

We've been through a lot together

It's pretty amazing when I start to think of all the stock parts still on the car.
Stock fuel pump, even after a few thousand pounds of N2O have been shoved down its throat

Stock t-stat. Stock injectors, stock MAF.

I killed the stock shortblock forever ago (N2O oops), bent 7 of the 8 connecting rods. it ran OK like that, but I swapped in a fresh stock shortblock, it now has over 130K on it...

Tranny decided to stop shifting amid 8 or 9 back to back passes on the street one night, 560 ft/lbs will do that. It owed me nothing, and was rebuilt better and is still in great shape 140K+ later.

I have beat the crap out of the car, its banged, dinged, and dented, but it gets me where I need to go. I still knock down about 10 MPG with it all day, and it gets me to and from work daily with more reliability than anything else I have ever owned

Yeah I'm with in never selling her. Mine is not DD duty anymore. If you mean "love" by "go fast" parts and riding her hard and putting her up wet I'm with you 100% lol.

Awesome story! Really shoves it in the face of idiots that think these cars are unreliable.

My Trackday car has 203,000 on it.

I bought it with 193,000 and it was all original.

Dropped in a fresh LS6 at 196,000, with a new clutch.
