pushrod rubbing my head.....help
ok my car.....2000 ws6 107000 has cam unknown size and bolt ons stock 241 heads stock rockers and trickflow 7.4 pushrods....
my problem...i have had car about 4 months and always a bad chatter not the sewing mechine, ive checked pushrod length with adjustable and they are the right size with about .060 preload......so i started pulling apart to replace the lifters with ls7 and saw that the pushrods (ALL OF THEM) both sides are rubbing the head bad while running and not the pushrod hole its rubbing at the top right under the valvecover gasket surface......i say while running because right now they all have about 1/8'' gap between PR and head....i also saw that on the driver side only the rockers are hitting the covers........not sure what to do now could i just grind a spot out with a die grinder or is there something else wrong??????

They don't have much room in the first place. Is their any wear marks on the PR's? Are you sure te rockers are hitting? You would hear that a mile away, it would be like a huge rod knock. What stands are the rockers on? Factory? Post a few pics of the PR and rockers

ill try to get some pics....they are on stock gm stands and u can see nice shiney alum. marks on the valve cover, it may only hit at high rpms, yes there are marks on the PR at the very top, as far as i know the internels are stock except cam.....the car is very noisey from 1200rpms up and the PR are rubbing so hard and long its wore a round spot in the head......ill try to get some pics later.....and also the rockers are wering perfect on the valve so not sure what to do
