Insurance & Age

Married & a senior citizen. The Camaro runs about $700 a year for full coverage & low deductibles. For the miles it's driven in a year it comes out to 31 cents a mile. Wow!
After a certain age rates rise and will soon rise for me as I will be classified to the age group of most likely to plow thru a building while claiming my foot was on the brake, not the accelerator.

Way to do it is get the car listed under your parents name, if you're under 25....
If I got an LSx vehicle and had to pay $150+ per month (or any vehicle for that matter). then forget it. I would sell it, or it would sit until insurance gets cheaper.

If you have farmers insurance co. in your area give them a call. I pay $160 per year for fire and theft when its sitting (most of the time) then when I want to take the car out I call them and they will pro rate full coverage. So I pay $1.60 per day its out. Usually I will put it on for a week or two at a time and they send me a bill at the end of the month for the time its on the road. If this is a weekend toy for you you'll save alot of money this way.

got to watch thos insurance companies - they practice a reverse loyalty policy (slowly ratchet up) I called to cancel and was offered same coverage for 60% of the price. you are not married to your insurance company
