Default new 99 SS owner...

A few months ago, I got rid of my 601rwhp supercharged mustang and since then, I've had an itch to get back at going fast. I built the mustangs motor, all blower install, etc so im pretty decent with some tools. Ive been doing TONS of research on the forum, google, youtube, etc... the car will be a 50/50 street/track car. I will drive it to the occasional baseball, softball, flag football game, or just whatever. I know "some" about the LSx motors but still learning... my goals for the car include a cam setup with a 150 shot with a nice suspension setup. Thats for now. Heads/intake setup may happen too but just trying to start off slow and in some direction. There seems to be alot of options on cams. For a 100-200 shot, I would assume just a good n/a cam will be the route to go. Any suggestions on that? I found some custom comp cams through searching but wanted to check and see if there were any suggestions.

What do you guys recommending changing with the cam install as far as chain, rods, springs, etc if anything. oil pump?

if is a m-6 i would do this..

tsp torquer v-3 cam package witch encludes cam, pushrods, springs- $600

slp timing chain with gear, & oil pump-$350

4.10 gears

42lb injectors & ls6 intake

if is a A-4 i would add a 3600 stall & 3.73 gears

also i would stay away from nitrous oxide, i would be to scare for the tune, and there not all reliable. But it depends on experience i guess.

This stick would work well w/100 shot and 4.10 gears.....if 150-200 squeeze
is preferred then perhaps widen the lobe separation a few degrees.

Do you care how high you have to spin it to get into the meat of the power band, DD friendly it is, or how aggressive the lobes are?
