I live north of Toronto, I absolutely love carving up the snow with my 02 Z28. I have winter tires and the car isn't lowered. I sold my Z24 winter beater to drive my z28 in the snow, its fun and i love it! Just oil spray your car cuz the salt will eat your car alive

I know this is an old thread but, since I am here, thought I would add my experience. Drove my TA in New Hampshire for 3 winters. The first, I put the stock rims with some good all season tires on for my winter set. The second winter, I got lazy and didn't. Rode out the winter with my 315's on the back and 275's on the front. I, honestly, didn't have many problems so I didn't switch the last year I was there either. I just think being careful is the best approach. Granted, on those days when 2 feet fell, I just let the car get plowed in and drove the wife's Cobalt
