Redoing Plugs, Wires, and Packs
Id like to get new Wires, Plugs, and Coil Packs. My friend is telling me to go with MSD. Im not an engine person at all, im a Body Man, so id like to ask for some input which ones to invest in. Thanks.

For plugs most people go with NKG TR55's, and MSD wires are some of the best available. But as for your coil's, they're a if it's not broke don't fix it item. You'll see no performance gains, and I think that I've read that the MSD coils have a higher failure rate that stock coils.

I would avoid aftermarket coils. They are not worth any gains in this application, and are very expensive. Stock coils are fine unless they just aren't functioning any longer.
Wires and plugs are a matter of preference and opinion, so take your pick on those.

Yeah, don't do plugs/wires expecting performance gains. I would pull a few plugs and use a gapping tool to see if they are worn. If they seem fine I probably wouldn't worry about it because it's likely that you won't feel a difference in performance.

I got a good deal on the MSD wires / NGK plugs that a sponsor had for sale...can't remember how much it was, think it was less than $70 or $80 shipped.
As far as the lifters go, if you're far enough in to replace them, just do it. LS7 lifters with LS2 trays, won't cost you a huge pile of money, and you'll have the peace of mind for it. I used the lifters that came with my engine when it showed up because I thought they were fine, but then half of them collapsed, and I had to get new head bolts and gaskets again.
