Im looking at buy a 1998 z28 camaro with 65k miles 6 speed perfect condition . The problem is if your driving it starts to tik at about 3rpms not really loud but with the radio off and listening close you can hear it . Im confused because i had the guy rev it up with me standing directly over the motor and you cant hear it from outside of the car and you cant hear it if you just in neutral reving . But if your driving down the road you can hear it if you get in the throttle above 2500-3k rpms . Does anyone know what this maybe be ? the oil pressure is good and it stays at the right temp with no check engine light .

exactly this ^. ask me how i know? just unscrew the nuts and look at the burnt gasket giving you this tick. i swore it was lifter, so i bought an entire cam swap, but it turned out to only be the exhaust gaskets when we started taking her apart. i could have "saved" my self a 1000 just by checking this. but hey, who says it wasnt fun.
