Ready for March
spring up grades finished, and enjoying every minute.
Our friends at tsp set me up with a pair of stage 2.5 5.3 heads a set of injectors, witch flow at 45lbs with my 255 fuel pump, put a 85mm maf on it, a pair of .045 thick head gaskets and had the heads milled down to 59cc cambers. push rod lenght was 7.300 with ls7 lifters , and it is a quite as a mouse , man i was ready for that, the old value train was noisey
Only thing that was a little time consuming was fly cutting the pistons inside the block , cut intake side .085 ,it look real good when i was finished.
with a little time anyone can do this , flycutting the pistons in the block with the engine out is relativity simple, setting up the first cut is what takes the longest
also put a launch and timing retard box on it . going to up the nos 25 more hp.
the heads really woke this little engine up, was honestly amazed by the very noticedable power and performance gains, looking forward for the track to open up
Happy Wrenching
