Default oil pressure problems

i just bought a 95 trans am with the ls1 motor in it the car just hit 100,000 miles and recently my oil pressure guage drops to 0 and my check guages light comes on but it only does this at idle and only after the engine heats up, i was told i could have spun a bearing but i dont hear any noise except for some lifter rattle like they are starving for oil does anyone know if it could be my oil pump or sending unit or am i just out of luck and need to tear it down and build it stronger please any advice is welcome

You need to hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge and see what it is really doing. I had the same situation in my 95 TA (with a lt1) and it turned out to be a spun bearing.
