I just bought an aluminum 5.3L engine from a 2012 Tahoe off of ebay. So far, everything looks legit. I just got the engine today. I've been unsuccessful in matching the engine "cast number" and VIN. I just want to make sure I got what I paid for. Here are the stamped numbers (the best I can make out):

VIN: 1K*CDG238303
CAST: A12 259 1556
