Default cam education

I would like to learn more about "cam science" if you will. im not sure where to start I figured lobe selection would be a good place to start and go from there after I understand the difference between them. can someone give me some good info on where I can find a list of all the different lobe types and the differences and maybe uses. also any advice on learning about cam's or anything anyone is willing to teach me.

You should start with the cam sticky from the Gen III internal section.

Also consider what you want to do with the rest of the car, then pick a cam best for that application

Good luck with your quest. What I have learned it isn't all about the cam but the complete intake system.
