Question How to remove stock battery bolts from cables?

I'm in the process of installing the Racetronix Hotwire kit and got the ground cables and battery bolts as part of the kit. The stock bolts are either part of the washer in the cable or really held in there. How can I get the stock bolts out to put the gold ones in? Also, I noticed that the threads seem too long to bottom out in the battery. Is tight sufficient? Thanks in advance.

They just push out. Grab the surround with of the red/black part and push firmly on the bolt with your thumb. It pushes out of the side that normally sits against the battery when they're installed.

The bolts don't need to bottom out in the battery, as long as they are connected firmly and clean.
