Not a fan, personally. It's right up there with custom neon/LED lighting - too flashy blinky for me.
Also, that just seems like a bumper-melting accident waiting to happen.

Funny thing is people were doing this since the 30's, when rice was just something served with teriyaki. When it's turned off you can't even tell I have it, it's just something people don't usually see everyday...
What I'm worried about is if they can affect chrome or stainless steel exhaust tips.

I've always thought it was pretty cool, but not cool enough to do it to my own vehicles. I'm not a fan of neon lights, but how can one not like fire?!
I'd personally be concerned about the bumper cover and all the other plastic/composite materials melting in the rear of the car. Honestly, I've only ever seen this stuff in action on cars that had real bumpers (ie: stuff before like 1972).

it would be cool if it was actually from the exhaust, ive had a couple small flames shoot out from my 01 Z28. or when the lambo and ferraris do it, not something id intentionally attempt to recreate. seems too dangerous and have you seen the prices of gas? haha

I'd worry much less about the exhaust piping and much more about the bumper cover, should the flames ever get fanned back towards the car, and/or just long term exposure to doing this. Paint and plastic will be much more likely to get damaged than the chromed metal bumpers of the older cars.
