6.0 head questions

241s flow about the same as 853s .some were cast in a better way ,and make a little more power .they have a triangle casting mark on them .don't pay more then $100 for 241s .do at home valve seat leak before you buy heads .point the ports up ,and fill with solvent ,check for any leaks from the valve .

You could also consider L92 heads, except I think they have the same chamber size as the 317's. They do flow better on the top end though. They're rectangular port heads, so the truck intake would not work.
Not true , you can run 317 heads on a 5.3

Hmmm.. maybe I should do something with those 317's and 241's I have sitting in my garage collecting dust. I had no idea they were worth anything.

I'm taking my 317 heads to my head porter and let him do his thing. Bill lutz told be, turbos don't care about heads. The turbo is just gonna push the air through anyway.
