Shipping Bare LS1 Short Block in Tupperware... Can it be done?
Hey guys!
I was wondering if it was doable to ship an LS1 bare block in a Tupperware container, like we can with the T56. I'm not sure of the weight or dimensions so I thought I'd present the question here
45gal Container: 36.625 x 21.0 x 19.5 (in)
50gal Container: 39.75 x 21.5 x 17.88 (in)
Thanks!

*** UPDATE ***
I just shipped my Darton MID LS1 block via FedEx. I had to use a BRUTE 35gal trash can. All the Rubbermaid totes and bins were too small or overly big.
I took a hefty garbage back and lined the can and then sprayed expanding foam into the bottom. Once it cured, it created a thick shock absorbing padding for the block to sit on.
I was going to use screws and nuts to clamp down the lid, but I just used a **** load of reinforced tape.
So YES, you can ship a bare block via FedEx!
WEIGHT: 121lbs
SHIPPING PRICE: $138 (Florida to South Dakota)

Be extra careful and don't skimp on the packing. I purchased an LS6 block sent via UPS. It arrived with the starter pad broken off. UPS admitted it was damaged during shipment but concluded that the shipper did not do a proper job of packing. The seller gave me most of my money back because I am pretty sure I can fix it so I wanted to keep it.
