Default LS1 swapped for ?

my 02 WS-6 original LS-1 is approaching 200,000 miles and started to feel a little tired.i want to see what my options are if upgrading to a LS2/3/6 etc. are there any larger cube LS motors available that my factory accessories will bolt to ?
(a/c, alternator,p/s pump, brackets,etc.)
I've read that the LS6 is very close to a direct swap but they seem to be a little harder to find and are fairly expensive. I have children so my disposable income is limited, but, a new motor is still cheaper than a new car..
if i purchased a fresh LS short block, I'd like to have the option to just bolt my existing heads/cam/intake/transmission to whatever i buy until i can afford to upgrade for more power. I'm the original owner of the car and everythings stock except bolt ons, and it's an auto.
thanks for reading, any help is greatly appreciated.

I think ls3 would be way to go unless you go with something smaller and boost it.

freshen up your current motor or bore it out?

The only difference between an ls6 and what you have now is 243 heads.

pull your motor and rebuild it. MUCH cheaper than the options your talking about. and take the saved money and stroke the motor or bore it out.
