Default LS7 Powered Helicopter

First, I apologize for the delay. I said in the other thread I would post pics when it all arrived, and I honestly forgot.

Some pictures after un crating. The section delivered is only the fuselage and cabin. No engine, rotor system, or tail boom yet.

All of the hardware.

Some bulkheads and skins being assembled.

Stood the belly section up for riveting.

First line of rivets on the belly pounded in.

This row is blind rivets because they protrude into a channel inside. They are like pop rivets except with a steel shaft and a locking mechanism.

Inside, in the process of bucking all the rivets with the bar laying there.

First three rows done.

My project today, installing the channel inside to house all of the control push rods.

Some of the shop.

Landing gear struts waiting to be assembled.

The bosses other helicopter. A two seat Rotorway in great condition. It's for sale! If anyone is seriously interested PM me for details.

That's it for today. At this point there are only two of us working on it, a couple people don't have the interest in it I thought they would. But we're cooking along, hope to have her airborne this summer.

Thanks for reading.

Regarding the other engine, read my post on page 2.

Link to their website. This is a 300ls kit. Approx. 150,000$ before paint, interior, and electronics.

Swapping an LS into aircraft is actually getting really popular with the smaller planes and helicopters. Being in the aviation industry myself and being ls lover I love it when I see them at shows and read about then.

Progress looks good! Make sure no smilies on those rivet heads! Lol
