Default which would you rather DD?

so ive been debating about giving my 2500HD some more go lately, has an LQ4 in it and im ether thinking doing 243 heads and like a 228 cam and headers or do a small turbo and run only like 6-8psi

which u think would be more eco friendly (not to worried about it but still)

which would be a better gain in power or more useable DD/towing power

any other input would be cool

i have some left over turbo stuff from when i did my car so the cost of the actual build im not worried about its more of the once its done aspect

I'd go turbo if you think you can get it done for a reasonable price, I think a cam that size may trade off to much low end. Maybe post this on Performance Truck, you may get some more educated answers.

Turbo all day !! It's closer to 200 more ponies whereas the H/C would give at most 100-110. I would also think the mileage of the turbo is better as well.

yeah i was leaning more towards turbo too, mainly cause i didnt wanna deal with another high stall converter if i did a cam

but this project just got put on a big hold cause i threw a piston through the block on my car thurs night so getting that going and finished took priority over boredom project with DD lol

I don't speak "ECO-Friendly", unless I have to pass Emissions Testing.

A Turbo, with no other mods, sounds like the "Green" solution . . . A Cam and other mods would likely "step on the EPA's toes".

I would definitely do two small t3/t4 turbos with a .40-64 A/R, it will spool up insanely quick and you can get the turbos for about $200 each.
