Default Opinion on T/A I might buy.

It's the original owner and he has all the documentation. The engine and tranny are both stock(the car is as well). The car did have to have rear passenger quarter panel replaced do to a accident in 2007. The car runs very smooth and has no odd noises/sounds/creaks etc. Better condition then I expected for 152k miles. He's down to 5100.

Good deal? Title is still clean.

Sold my 99 z28 with 80k on it for 5500 last summer. So I'd say it's still a little high.

I was thinking it was a little high as well, but I know the T/A pull more money then the Camaros for the same shape etc.

If its been kept up oil wise u might get a lot more miles out of it. I beat on mine and really haven't any problems with it. Great performance and it just keeps on going. If it lasts a couple of years whats the difference $300-$500 either way. Sell it before it dies and u will get your moneys worth. lol.

Ya, that was the original price I was thinking going in but he was pretty firm. I'm looking for a mostly stock ls1 to run in stock class for autocross. Main concern is will she hold up lol.

I don't think the price is terrible for a 6spd. Id start at 4500 and see where it goes.

It you plan to keep the car for a long time spend more for a better car, it will be cheaper in the long run.

Thanks for the advice guys. I decided to pass, he wouldn't budge from 5100. I agree to just find something with less miles etc.

Over priced BUT try finding a lower mileage or any decent shape TA anymore is getting tough. Realistic price on that car is 4500 but that's only 600 less than he wants AND 600 buys NOTHING today. If its in good running condition I'd buy it. 5100 dollars won't buy you the front bumper off a new Camaro or Vette .

I looked a long time for a low mileage TA...still paid top buck and had to do some repairs including a axle shaft.

Anymore it seems that TA's cost more than Z28's so I think that's an unfair comparison unless the buyer really doesn't have a preference between the two. We all know they're the same underneath but people seem to like the TA's more in general, heck, formulas are usually even cheaper and are the same thing too lol.

Also, you never mentioned the year. I'd definitely pay more for an 01-02 car with 150k than I would a 98-00 car.

I ended up getting the car today. Got it for 4750. I feel good getting a 6-spd LS1 T/a for that price.

Original owner and has widow sticker and all receipts and repairs.
