Default to sleep for 3 years

Hi all,

I'm moving to Italy for 3 years and need to put my car away. It's a well built LS1 with Comp Cam valve gear and double springs in a 944. It will be stored in an unheated but dry garage in Nova Scotia. Temp extremes will be from 80F to -20F. I'm mainly concerned with the valve train. I have a friend that could start it up every few months, but not drive it. I'm unsure this helps. Any advice on what to do to the motor to survive this hibernation.

Ciao
Gord.

Could remove the valve covers and back the rockers off! Make sure it's varment proof and drain the gas and then car cover.
