Hard to find?
I think it depends on the area. I still see quite a few driving around and for sale here in Indianapolis. Not so much now that winter is here though. I think it is getting harder and harder to find them in good condition though.

In colorado here, and i have noticed very few driving around or being sold. And looking for a decent priced trans am is a joke. I have been pushed to basically looking for a v6 firebird with a m5 and just swapping an ls/t56 into it...

What Z Fury said - harder to find in good condition. Just purchased a 2001 WS6 last month that was a true one owner car and in good condition with 89,000 easy miles. Looked at several on our hunt that just made me want to cry the way they had been beat on...

Either need $15k+ to buy a good one or in the right place at the right time. I know in my area, the good ones are worth tons and even the rag'd out ones are still over 8-10k. i would never get rid of my WS6 just for this reason, replacing it with a 1 owner stock car will be near impossible. I have an itch for a C5 of some sort but will be damned if Im giving up my bird!

Just going by production numbers about half as many Firebirds were made as there were Camaros. As much as I'd want a Firebird I'm starting to consider a Camaro for that very reason... After all it's just cosmetic differences...
