storage unit size for f-body
So I finally have the opertunity to put my car away for the winter. It's a 98 formula. The only thing that's stopping me is the size of the unit I need to rent. Would a 10x15 work? Or would I need to step up to a 10x20. There is a huge price gap between the two so I was hoping the 10x15 would work. The car is just going to sit there for a couple of months, no work is being done in the unit. So tight is fine. Thanks

193.4" is the general length of a 4th gen, give or take a couple tenths of an inch depending on model and early vs. late.
10'x15' won't work specifically, however my experience with those sort of storage units is that they aren't usually the exact size that they are listed as. For example, I used to rent a "10'x20'" that was actually a 10'x22', on the other end I remember looking at a 10'x25' that was more like a 10'x23' - so it can go either way.
Go ahead and measure the 10'x15', you might get lucky and find it's actually a 10'x16.5 or 17', in which case the car will fit. Or it might be a 10'x14', in which case you could always remove the bumpers for winter storage.
