And as far as being wearable? The cloth interior in my '98 Z28 had no tears or obvious wear spots at 115K miles. But, I was very careful getting in and out that car. And 50% of those miles were highway. You could always go the convertible route as well.
The cloth in these cars is much better quality than the leather, you have to be pretty rough with the cloth to wear it out but the leather is quite fragile in comparison. I had a Camaro and a Trans Am with leather, and even being meticulously cared for garage queens which I purchased new, it surprised me how fast the leather started to show wear in each. Like you, I also had a daily driver Camaro with 106k miles and cloth, and the seats showed no visible wear at all.
Personally I put a higher value on the cloth interior versions of these cars.
