Default Back in an LS1

I sold my 98 a4 a little over 4 years and finally rejoined the club a few weeks ago. I picked up an 02 SS with CME, SLP grille, and Blackwing intake. It's got a Founder's STB and drilled/ slotted rotors. I'm not sold on the stripes but they're vinyl so I can peel them off if I choose. It's my first t-top car after my last 2 were hardtop z28s. It's been so much more fun than the 328i and Explorer I've been driving since I sold my last LSx car. First mods are already bought and will be installed this weekend. The steering wheel is in great shape under the cover but I didn't remove it before the pics.

Export tails and amber side markers. Wanted a set for my last one but never bought a pair so I'm getting them for this one.

I was looking at the speed engineering headers too. I've seen positive reviews on here for them but I may get Kooks because I know they'll be perfect.

Are they the solid black SLP stripes or are the black checkered flag stripes? In a few years I might be getting back into an fbody, I'll try to find one with the same options as my 2000.

They're solid black. I'm not sure where the previous owner got them.

Whoa! It looks like someone took a decal kit for a 1st gen and put it on your car I'm sorry to say that looks horrible when done right on these the stripes look amazing, the ones on my old car were pretty unique even though they were a SLP set of stripes. Berger used the style also except there stripes were painted on and had some minor changes to set them apart. I'd definitely pull those stripes off

Yeah I'm thinking about it. They're not terrible in person but I'm not a fan I'm just afraid the paint will look off.

True! Depending on how long they have been on and how much it was in the sun the paint might show where stripes were

It's sunny probably 350 days a year here so it wouldn't take long. From the inside all I can is the stripes at the edge of the scoop so it's not too bad to see everyday.
