Arrow Questions before I go cam only

Current Situation: Looking into doing an LS1 that's a cam only, full bolt on, weekender, with goals of making 420hp at the wheels.

I figure when I pull the cam, I might as well pull the heads and have them ported and polished. Are the gains from doing that enough to make it a priority over other bolt on that I could buy instead? Don't want to jump the gun on a h/c build if I don't have to.

Once I upgrade to an aggressive cam, ported heads, T56, Monster Clutch, I'd like my full bolt ons to include Fast 92 and matching TB. I believe the 92s will work with the stock fuel rails, but is there any advantage to upgrading fuel rails? Disadvantage from keeping stock fuel rails? If I kept the stock fuel rails, would I be able to keep the stock size injectors with my entire setup or would I need to get a higher # injector?

Thanks in advance.

No advantage with the bigger rails on the 92. Injectors may or may not need upgrading, but I would just in case

Porting heads does make it a h/c car.

Your stock fuel rails are fine for the fast 92, and I would pick up a set of 42#ers Inj., you can find those for $100-125 used everywhere...as far as porting your stock heads, ive seen Advanced Induction get some killer numbers out of 241's. Good luck.

Not previously mentioned: Car will be M6 and suspension will be upgraded immediately.

Yes, LTs and full exhaust would be a part of the "full bolt ons".

I've also seen AI produce some top notch numbers with the 241s. My plan is to have Pat G spec out a cam and send the heads and cam to AI.
