First off this is purely hypothetical.
So i am currently planning and researching a project i am going to build. I need to get it as detailed as possible then get the wife's stamp of approval and i can begin building. BUT i have a question maybe you guys can help me out with.
Here's the plan: Starting out with some kind of 4th gen
-4.8 or 5.3
-big turbo
-lots of fuel
-t56 mag or upgraded rebuild
-s60 or 9inch rear.
-full suspension, preferably coilovers so i can setup it up for street, autox, and drag.
-tubular arms and k member.
-not sure on wheels yet, maybe ccw(gonna depend on car and color)
So with that very vague plan, would it be worth it to find a 6 cyl car with a blown engine for $200(bunch on craigslist) or is it worth to spend 7000-10000 on a car and build from their?
My initial thought is since im replacing everything anyway i might as well start with a 6 cyl.
Thanks for any input.

I would do that; in fact, I had a 6 cyl. roller for sale on here, but no takers, so I had to junk it.
You'll need a V8 K-member, engine harness, and fuel lines and other odds and ends. But you'll be going with an aftermarket fuel pump, so no worries about that. Check out some of the V6 to V8 conversion threads for good info.
