Are SRS airbags still operational in 20+ year old Fbodies?
I've wondered whether anyone is protected by 20+ year old F body airbags in any potential accident?
Hopefully, there are documented cases of F body mishaps that members can share where the airbags provided protection after many years following initial installation. I'm certainly not willing to test this event in a crash situation.
If not reliable, my Slim Jim Taxicab looking steering wheel maybe getting the old heave ho! I really like the aftermarket steering offerings from Momo, Sparco and others but none offer an SRS component. This is a safety concern if I replace a wheel that offers crash protection but not important if that protection is unavailable.
This might be the argument needed to change to something newer. Comments?

I've wondered this myself. I had purchased a car where the previous owner had removed the passenger air bag and I was going to put it back in but started wondering if it was even good. They are really heavy too lol which was my other hold up
