Default Excited! 6liter swap!

Excited to have my 6 liter iron block swap 95 Trans Am back and anxious to get some numbers on the dyno. Pretty basic build:

Brought Josh at Spartan LSX a 2011 L96 in OCT 2015 for a tear down and refresh.
Custom grind by Cam Motion
Ported 823 heads with LS3 valves
LS3 intake, injectors, etc.
Brought the guys the car, clutch, QP fab9, and a few more goodies August 2016. They've hit a few rough patches in there but hopefully I'll post some videos and numbers soon.

We'll see how it goes! I'm pumped.

Not to say anything about the shop since I don't know them, but its been more than 2 and a half years and your car isn't done. I understand that it's an lt style car but that's a long time to wait for a build.

Just reaching out for some help, we can't get the steering column to mate properly with the manual rack.

95 Firebird
LS motor
LS k member, manual steering rack, and "intermediate shaft" (the link between the rack and column)

Do I need an LT1 intermediate shaft for a manual rack?

Do I need an entire steering column out of an LS car?

Or should it work and I need another k member and rack?

FYI: column is hard against the header and they're saying there is too much toe in the front wheels and I'm maxed out in adjustment..
