Default Help 5.3 to 4.8 swap

I swaped my 5.3 engine out my 2002 Tahoe and put in a 4.8 from 2007 Tahoe I know the relucter wheel might be a problem but if they are the same which will be the 24x will it work and if they are different will it start and all I got to do is a flash the connectors are different so I swapped the cps also if I disconnect the neutral safety switch will it cause a no spark. I Know it don't crank

Eh, what?

If its a 24x, it'll drop right in, fire up like stock and run/drive.

If you got a 58x reluctor, its not going to run. You can't even flash the computer and make it run, its just not going to work.

They aren't hard to change out but you need a special tool from Goodson to make sure it lines up properly. There are several threads on how to do it but I opted for the tool..

I really don’t think it’s worth your trouble. Just use another 24x engine IMO.
