LS7 clutch conundrum

Hello all, I've read so many posts about swapping the LS7 clutch into an Ls1/2 car and decided I'd try it as my LS2 GTO needed a clutch in its old age. I purchased a 04-216 Luk clutch kit and LFW191 flywheel. My problems started when I realized you cant just swap fittings and use the LS7 slave, as everyone on here was saying to use this taller slave cyl. Next I realized that my input shaft bottoms out in the clutch hub before the engine and trans are mated together. Sooooo, anyone know things that I don't know? Thanks all!
