so as of right now I have stock manifolds and I’m looking to upgrade. A buddy of mine is selling me some bassani mid lengths and ory for 200, so I’m asking is it worth it? Or should I just wait and get longtubes? I don’t wanna waste money on mids if longtubes are going to be so much better. Thanks in advance.

For a street car you're not racing mids work fine. If you're in a state where they require cats in the stock location mids are perfect. In any other case LTs are probably the better bet since the price and fitment have become so good recently.

I had those Bassani mids on my WS6 back in the early 2000s. They were a great header, very high quality and excellent fitment. Car made good power with them on a cam only setup. I seem to recall them being 14 gauge metal, so thicker walled than the other mids/LTs available at the time.
Mid-length headers still relocate the cats on an LS1 F-body. The only way to stay totally emissions legal (when dealing with a strict visual inspection) is to go with shorty headers. Shorty headers are a direct swap for the stock manifolds and are the only option which does not relocate the stock cats.
